Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on 05/06/2026 at approximately 0517 hours, his deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle crash in the area of South River Rd and US 12., Porter Township, Cass County Michigan.
The investigation showed that a vehicle driven by Carlos Tepach (43 years old from Mount Prospect, IL) was northbound on South River Rd when he lost control, causing his vehicle to overturn and land on a nearby residential property. Tepach was transported by Memorial MedFlight helicopter to Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the traffic accident.
Assisting agencies on scene were SEPSA Fire and Ambulance, and Memorial MedFlight .
The incident remains under investigation.
