Narrative:
On May 5th, 2026, Thousand Oaks Patrol Deputies responded to the 1800 block of West Hillcrest Drive, in Thousand Oaks regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, Thousand Oaks Patrol Deputies determined both occupants of the residence were involved in illegal narcotics activity. Shane Thaisamran and Brittney Sglav were arrested for HS 11550(a) – Under the Influence of a Controlled substance and HS 11377(a) – Possession of a Controlled Substance. Thousand Oaks Patrol Deputies notified Thousand Oaks Directed Enforcement (DEU) of the incident. DEU collaborated with patrol personnel and initiated a follow-up investigation.
DEU and patrol personnel responded to the residence and contacted another female, Hue Lam, who was attempting to flee from the location. DEU also contacted another male identified as Brandon Thaisamran, who remained inside the residence. After a lengthy investigation, DEU established probable cause to arrest Brandon Thaisamran and Hue Lam for PC 459 – Burglary and PC 182(a)(1) – Conspiracy to Commit the Burglary.
DEU located a vehicle associated with Brandon Thaisamran and Hue Lam. During a search of the vehicle, detectives located a concealed firearm, narcotics, a large quantity of stolen mail, credit cards, and identification cards. Brandon Thaisamran and Hue Lam were additionally arrested for HS 11370.1(a) -Possession of a Controlled substance with a Firearm, HS 11377(a) – Possession of a Controlled Substance, PC 25400(a)(1) – Concealed Firearm within Vehicle, PC 27545 – Unlawful |
Transfer of a Firearm, PC 30305(a)(1) - Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm/ Ammunition, and PC 530.5(a) – Unlawful Possession of Personal Identifying Information of Another.
