Please be advised that the Manchester Utilities Authority will begin Annual Spring Hydrant Flushing for Haledon water customers, which is a standard annual procedure. The program is expected to continue through May 15, 2026.
During flushing, customers may experience decreased water pressure and discolored water.
Hydrant flushing is a routine and important maintenance program used to improve overall water quality, maintain proper system operation, and help ensure reliable fire protection throughout the distribution system.
If discoloration occurs, run cold water for several minutes until the water clears.
