Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun and drug charges following an investigation.
Beginning in April members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into 36-year-old Cleveland Baldwin in reference to illegal drug sales in the 1600 block of Lancaster Avenue.
On May 5th at approximately 12:38 p.m., officers located Baldwin and he was taken into custody without incident. Subsequently, officers executed a search warrant in the 1600 block of Lancaster Avenue.Officers recovered a loaded .9mm handgun, ammunition, 169 grams of marijuana and 53 doses of MDMA.
Baldwin has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited- Two Counts
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver (Tier 2)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Tier 2)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court Of Common Pleas and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.
