GTPD Media Release- Juveniles Arrested for Home and Vehicle Burglaries With Assistance from Alert Resident 5-9-2026

Gloucester Township Police Media Release- Juveniles Arrested for Home and Vehicle Burglaries With Assistance from Alert Resident 5-9-2026

On Friday, May 8, 2026, at approximately 7:58 p.m., officers from the Gloucester Township Police Department (GTPD) were dispatched to the area of Pine Glen Drive in the Sicklerville section of Gloucester Township for the report of three juveniles burglarizing a residence and attempting to steal a vehicle.

An alert neighbor observed three subjects wearing ski masks enter a residence, immediately contacted police, and continued providing real-time information to responding officers. The three males exited the residence carrying numerous items and proceeded to a vehicle in an attempt to steal it and flee the area. The subjects entered the vehicle but were unsuccessful in starting it, causing them to flee on foot.
Responding officers located the suspects fleeing, pursued them on foot, and successfully took all three individuals into custody. The suspects were identified as juveniles, transported to GTPD Headquarters, charged on juvenile complaints, and remanded to a juvenile detention center.

With the assistance of an alert resident who provided detailed and timely information, officers were able to quickly make arrests, preventing additional crimes against the community. Chief Anthony Minosse said, “This case is proof of the excellent partnership we have working together between the Gloucester Township Police and our community.  We consistently remind residents to call the police if they see suspicious behavior.  In this situation, an alert citizen directly allowed us to respond swiftly and make these arrests.  We thank our residents who trusted their instincts and quickly spoke up, along with their dedication to public safety.”

The GTPD continues to partner with local and state law enforcement agencies to aggressively investigate and charge offenders involved in motor vehicle burglaries and related crimes. Our officers and detectives work diligently to identify offenders, respond to their residences, and pursue criminal charges with zero tolerance for this type of criminal activity.

The GTPD will also hold parents accountable when juveniles are unsupervised and engaged in criminal behavior.
The Gloucester Township Police Department urges residents to remain alert to unusual or suspicious behavior, lock their vehicles, remove key fobs and valuables from vehicles, and immediately report suspicious activity to police.
