Suspected Fentanyl, Currency, and Drug Packaging Materials Seized After Investigation

DATE/TIME: May 12, 2026, at 12:40 A.M.

INCIDENT: HS11351.5- Possession/purchase cocaine base for sale
                   HS11364(A)- Possession of unlawful paraphernalia
                   HS11377(A)- Possession of a controlled substance


LOCATION: 9000 Block of Roberds St., Rancho Cucamonga

SUSPECT(S): David Russell Benensohn, 60-years-old, Resident of Rancho Cucamonga
                        Brandon Michael Bellani, 39-years old, Resident of Rancho Cucamonga

VICTIM(S): State of California

SUMMARY: On Monday, May 4, 2026, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff’s Station began an investigation regarding the potential sale of narcotics. On Monday, May 11, 2026, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff’s Station served a search warrant in the 9000 block of Roberds St. The location was found to be an abandoned building.

The suspects later identified as David Russell Benensohn, and Brandon Michael Bellani were located, and detained at the location. The search of the building resulted in locating suspected fentanyl, a scale, packaging materials, U.S. currency, and an air soft replica firearm. 

During the investigation, Benensohn was found to have active warrants. Benensohn was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for two active warrants. 

Bellani was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for HS11351.5-Possession/Purchase cocaine base for sale, HS11364(A)- Possession of unlawful paraphernalia, and HS11377(A)-Possession of a controlled substance.
