BOIL ADVISORY

McDowell County Water Department has issued a boil advisory for Nebo Water customers due to a water main break on US 70 East near Rolands Chapel Rd. Nebo Water is also experiencing low pressure. All Nebo Water customers are advised to boil water until further notification.
Therefore, the Division of Water Resources advises that water consumers should boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation) or use bottled water. Vigorous boiling for two (2) minutes should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
