Convicted Felon Arrested in Needles for Illegal Possession of Pepper Spray Following Traffic Stop
DATE/TIME: Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at approximately 1:57 p.m.
INCIDENT: PC 22810(A) - Unlawful Posession of Pepper Spray/Tear Gas/Etc.
LOCATION: North K Street and Needles Hwy, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): James Goley, 64-years-old, Resident of Whittier, CA
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at approximately 1:57 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department conducted a traffic enforcement stop near North K Street and Needles Hwy for vehicle code violations.
During the traffic stop, deputies contacted James Goley, who was found to be in violation of PC 22810(A)-Unlawful Possession of Pepper Spray. Goley is a convicted felon and is prohibited from buying, carrying, or using pepper spray. Goley was subsequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Goley remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $30,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
