The Village of Huntley and Huntley Police Department have launched Everbridge as our emergency notification platform. Everbridge replaces Nixle, which the Police Department previously used for community alerts. Nixle will be discontinued on June 1, 2026. To continue receiving alerts, be sure to sign up for Everbridge.

Effective June 1, 2026, Everbridge will no longer provide weather alerts. The
National Weather Service and
FEMA have options for receiving comparable notifications.
Everbridge can notify users about incidents such as road closures, public safety threats, police activity, missing people, and more. Accounts are free and users can customize their settings by listing and prioritizing multiple phone numbers, emails and addresses to ensure they receive the emergency notifications that matter to them. Messages are sent to registered users on their preferred contact paths - cell phone, SMS, home phone, email or push notification via the Everbridge app.
