Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges following an investigation.
On May 13 at approximately 3:25 p.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division were conducting an investigation into drug activity in the area of Pleasant and Chestnut Streets when they observed 25-year-old Shamar Foster engaged in drug activity. Police made contact with Foster and took him into custody without incident, and recovered 5.17 grams of crack cocaine.
Foster has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 2 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $12,000 cash-only bail.
