On May 13, 2026, at approximately 6:17 p.m., Fremont Police Officers responded to a possible shooting around the area of Corrigan Drive and Eggers Drive. Multiple callers described a group of males fighting in the area just prior to the incident. Upon officers’ arrival in the area, no victim could be initially found.
Through witness interviews, surveillance, and the efforts of our Real Time Information Center, a possible suspect vehicle was identified fleeing the area. The victim was finally located at his home in the area with non-life-threatening injuries.
As the evening progressed, investigators responded to San Jose and located the involved vehicle. A warrant was subsequently authored and approved. At approximately 9:47 p.m., San Jose Police’s Mobile Emergency Response Group and Equipment (MERGE) served the search warrant and detained multiple subjects.
Fremont Police Department Investigators took custody of the detained individuals and subsequently arrested one for their role as a shooter. The successful resolution of this shooting incident was through the collaboration of our Patrol and Special Operations Divisions. Thank you to the San Jose Police Department for their assistance in the apprehension of the offender involved.
