Brothers Among Four Arrested in Armed Robbery Investigation

On Thursday, May 14th, 2026, at approximately 1:43 p.m., officers from the Rialto Police Department responded to an armed robbery that had just occurred at the AMPM convenience store located at 1916 N. Riverside Avenue in the City of Rialto.
 
Officers learned that four suspects entered the business, one armed with a handgun, and robbed the location of over $200 in cash before fleeing the area in a silver Toyota Corolla. A witness was able to provide officers with the suspect vehicle’s license plate number, which was immediately utilized by officers and assisting personnel in the department’s Real Time Crime Center to identify and locate the vehicle.
 
Using investigative resources, the suspect vehicle was located in the 16100 block of Merrill Avenue in the City of Fontana. All four suspects were safely taken into custody without incident. During the investigation, officers recovered the loaded handgun believed to have been used during the robbery, along with the stolen cash taken from the business.
 
The following individuals were arrested in connection with the robbery:

  • Alex Hernandez, a convicted felon
  • Erik Hernandez, currently out on bail for felony drug sales charges
  • Adrian Rios, a convicted felon
  • Zoey Vasquez-Drewry, currently out on bail for a burglary-related arrest 
All four suspects were booked into the West Valley Detention Center on multiple felony charges related to armed robbery, conspiracy, and weapons violations.
