Mayor Anthony Copeland and the East Chicago Parks & Recreation Department invite YOU to join our new Community Garden Club.
The first meeting will be held TOMORROW, Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Greenhouse located at 1615 E. 142nd Street.
Everyone is welcome — whether you have gardened before or are just interested in learning. The club is a chance to meet new people, learn about gardening, and help make East Chicago greener and more beautiful.
The club will include:
• Gardening activities
• Shared garden spaces
• Gardening workshops
• Seed exchanges
• Monthly harvests
• A fun and friendly environment
