Watch Commander’s Night Report - May 14, 2026

CAD CALLS: 862

1. Robbery (1701) 8000 Block of West Lane, Valley Oak District

The male victim, 52, was in a parking lot talking to the suspect. The suspects grabbed him, stole his property, and fled. The victim was uninjured. SUSPECTS: A Middle Eastern male adult and a Middle Eastern female adult.

2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest (1724) 2900 Block of Monte Diablo Avenue, Civic District

The female victim, 64, was inside an area residence when the known suspect armed himself with a knife to confront an individual. When the victim intervened, the suspect stabbed her, threatened her, and vandalized property. Officers located and arrested the suspect without incident. The victim sustained a non-life-threatening injury and declined medical attention. While in custody, the suspect attempted to damage a police vehicle and had to be restrained. ARRESTED: Jeremy Daniels, 39, for assault with a deadly weapon, terrorist threats, child abuse, vandalism, and resisting arrest.

3. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (2027) 400 Block of South Grant Street, Seaport District

The male victim, 27, was in the area with the known suspect when they got into an argument. The suspect struck the victim over the head with an object and fled in a vehicle. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. SUSPECT: Hispanic male adult.

4. Battery / Resisting Arrest (2319) 1900 Block of Picasso Way, Seaport District

The male victim, 59, was assaulted by the suspect who was intoxicated. The victim was uninjured. Officers attempted to detain the suspect, but he refused commands and ran from them. Officers chased the suspect and used force to take him into custody. The suspect was transported to an area hospital for minor injuries. ARRESTED: Kenneth Washington, 33, for drunk in public, battery, and resisting arrest. 

5. Armed Robbery (0142) 4400 Block of Pacific Avenue, Lakeview District

The victim employee, 32, was working at the business when one suspect entered the business armed with a firearm and demanded property, while a second suspect waited outside. The suspect assaulted the victim, took property, and fled. Both suspects fled in a vehicle. SUSPECTS: Two White male adults.

6. Weapon Arrest (0234) 8700 Block of Santa Maria Way, Bear Creek District

Officers responded to the area on a report of a vehicle accident. Upon arrival, one vehicle was blocking the roadway. During a search of the vehicle, a loaded handgun was found. ARRESTED: Carlos Tovar, 26, for weapon charges.
