1. Robbery Arrest (1620) 100 Block of East Maple Street, Civic District
The female victim, 22, was inside an area residence with the known suspect when the two began to argue. The suspect battered the victim, stole her property, and fled. The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Officers later located the suspect, who resisted their attempt to arrest him, and force was used to take him into custody. ARRESTED: Benjamin Soto, 22, for residential robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and resisting arrest.
2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1656) Yokuts Avenue and Claremont Avenue, Lakeview District
The male victim, 64, was sitting in the listed area when the known suspect arrived and started an argument with him. The suspect struck the victim with an object before fleeing on foot. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and declined medical attention. SUSPECT: White male adult.
3. Armed Robbery (1759) 1600 Block of West Fremont Street, Civic District
The male victim, 24, was working at an area business when the suspect entered, brandished a handgun, and demanded property. The victim complied, and the suspect fled in a waiting vehicle. SUSPECTS: Two
Hispanic male adults.
4. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (0303) Fremont Street and Ryde Avenue, Civic District
The female victim, 41, and the male victim, 52, were in a vehicle in the area when an unknown suspect threw a firework through the window. The female victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. There is no suspect information.
