UPDATE: Power poles down and roads closures in the areas of Laurel, Empire, Woodhill and Oxford
The City of Oakley is currently working on road closures at several points due to one power pole that is confirmed to be down and another one that is threatening to come down.
The downed poles are near the intersection of Laurel and Empire. The following are the various points of road closure:
At this point there is no ETA for reopening. Please avoid the area and exercise caution.

WAPA IS NOW ONSCENE TO MAKE NECESSARY REPAIRS.
WESTBOUND LAUREL IS NOW GOING TO BE FULLY OPEN.
EASTBOUND LAUREL WILL REMAIN CLOSED BETWEEN EMPIRE AVENUE AND HOLMES ROAD UNTIL APPROXIMATELY MIDNIGHT.
BROWN ROAD WILL ALSO REMAIN CLOSED BETWEEN LAUREL ROAD AND OXFORD DRIVE UNTIL APPROXIMATELY MIDNIGHT.

THE POINT OF CLOSURE THAT WAS AT WESTBOUND LAUREL AND WOODHILL HAS BEEN MOVED TO WESTBOUND LAUREL AND MERCEDES.
THERE IS NOW A TWO HOUR ETA FOR WAPA RESPONSE TO THE AREA

- Eastbound Laurel is blocked at Empire
- Westbound Laurel is blocked at Woodhill
- Northbound Brown is blocked at Oxford
At this point there is no ETA for reopening. Please avoid the area and exercise caution.

Avoid the impacted area, find alternate routing, be prepared for a prolonged impact to the roadway
