Two Reminders:
Gas-powered leaf blowers are prohibited from May 15 through October 15 as per Borough Ordinance 262-2. We ask for your help with compliance with this ordinance. Residents and property owners can be held responsible for violations. If you use a landscaping company, please make sure that they are aware of the ordinance to avoid a summons. Violations may be reported to the Leonia Police Department.
Landscaping companies are required to register for an annual permit with the Leonia Borough Clerk. Registered landscaping companies are given a copy of the leaf blower ordinance when they are issued their permit. Make sure your landscaping company is registered! Have them contact the Leonia Borough Clerk (201-592-5780 or [email protected]) to register for their permit. Registration helps us to educate landscapers on existing ordinances and to update them when there are changes. The registration fee is minimal ($35 for the year) and is waived for all companies that have already registered with the State.
