* Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Cherokee County in southeastern Kansas... Southern Jasper County in southwestern Missouri... Newton County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 115 PM CDT Tuesday.

* At 714 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Joplin, Neosho, Baxter Springs, Webb City, Galena, Seneca, Granby, Duquesne, Sarcoxie, Duenweg, Diamond, Leawood, Silver Creek, Fairview, Shoal Creek Drive, Saginaw, Treece, Loma Linda, Fidelity, Newtonia, Stella, Redings Mill, Wentworth, Stark City, Grand Falls Plaza, Shoal Creek Estates, Ritchey, Dennis Acres, Cliff Village, Atlas, Racine, Oakland Park and Iron Gates.
