INCIDENT: H&S 11378 - Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale
LOCATION: 100 block North K Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Steven Kerns, 57-years-old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department served a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of North K Street in Needles.
The operation followed invesigative leads regarding suspected narcotic sales occuring at the residence, which contributed to the development of probable cause for the search warrant of the residence. While serving the search warrant, investigators located items consistant with narcotics sales.
As a result of the investigation, Steven Kerns was subsequently arrested for H&S 11378 - Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale. Kerns was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking and remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $30,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
