Please be advised that a power outage is currently affecting the northern section of Monroe Township. At this time, the traffic signal at the intersection of Spotswood Englishtown Road and Matchaponix Avenue is not operational.
Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling through the area and treat the intersection as a four-way stop until power is restored. (Temporary stop signs have been set up).
According to JCP&L, approximately 1,081 residences within Monroe Township are impacted by the outage. JCP&L has been notified and utility crews have been dispatched to investigate and restore service as quickly as possible.
Additionally, Federal Road is currently closed between Gravel Hill Spotswood Road and Monroe Boulevard until further notice due to a damaged utility pole. Residents and motorists are advised to avoid the area and follow all posted detour routes.
Residents experiencing power outages are advised to report them directly to JCP&L by calling 1-888-LIGHTSS.
