Wilmington Police have arrested a juvenile male in connection to an armed robbery following an investigation.
On April 28th at approximately 9:00 p.m., police received a report of an armed robbery that occurred in the area of Maple and South Broom Streets. The case was assigned to Detective Johnnie Everett of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation Detective Everett identified a 17-year-old male juvenile as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
On May 20th, officers executed a search warrant in the 1000 block of Duncan Street and located the 17-year-old male juvenile, who was taken into custody without incident. Officers recovered a 3-D firearm frame.
The 17-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses:
- Robbery (First Degree)
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Aggravated Menacing
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Family Court and released pending further proceedings.
