Memorial Day Ceremonial Services - Rain or Shine

TABERNACLE TOWNSHIP MEMORIAL DAY PARADE LINEUP

Participant Drop-Off and Parade Lineup - Please arrive on time.
Use the Seneca High School parking lot when dropping off participants.

Their ceremony begins at Junior Mechanics Cemetery. The ceremony must be finished before the parade line begins to move forward to keep the parade running on schedule.
 
10:05 a.m.
The parade will pause at Junior Mechanics Cemetery to allow the VFW to join the parade line. The VFW will fall in directly behind the NJSP Troop Car.   Once all VFW members have joined the parade, Grand Marshal Car 1 and Grand Marshal Car 2 will fall in, followed by the remaining parade participants.
 
The parade will end at Town Hall for the Memorial Services.
RAIN OR SHINE
  • NJSP, Fire and EMS will possibly park in front of Town Hall.
  • Grand Marshal vehicles and all other vehicles will pass Town Hall, make a right-hand turn onto Medford Lakes Road, continue to Holy Eucharist Church, and park as close to the rear of Town Hall as possible.
  • All foot and bicycle participants will gather in the Town Hall parking lot.

IMPORTANT PARADE INFORMATION
Street Closures    
  • Road closures will begin early in the morning.
  • Access to the parade route may become difficult once roads are closed.
Vehicle Safety      
  • Participating vehicles should continue moving unless directed otherwise or in an emergency.
  • Please follow all instructions from parade officials and police officers.
  • Absolutely no texting and driving.
Bicycle Safety      
  • Bicycle riders must remain in their designated lineup location.
  • All riders on bicycles or single/two-wheeled apparatus must wear a helmet.
  • Unsafe riding, weaving between groups, or riding ahead of units will not be permitted.
  • Participants operating bicycles unsafely will be removed from the parade.
Candy & Giveaways       
  • If your group plans to distribute candy or items
    • Please help keep children safe and out of the roadway.  Walk items directly to spectators when possible.
    • Do not throw items into the street.
  • No silly string permitted.
  • Group leaders are responsible for monitoring participants.
Non-Political Event
  • The Memorial Day Parade is a non-political event.
  • Political flags, campaign materials, or electioneering are not permitted.
  • Anyone displaying political materials may be asked to remove them or leave the parade.

Please use caution throughout the parade route area, as portions of the roadway may contain uneven surfaces or divots.
