Mayfair 2026 Cancelled Due to Weather
Mayfair has been part of Collingswood for generations. It is more than a festival, it is a tradition, a reunion, a marker of summer, and a day that belongs to this community.
That is why this decision was incredibly difficult to make.
After extensive review of updated weather forecasts and consultation with festival organizers, Borough officials, police and fire leadership, public works staff, and volunteer leadership, the decision has been made to cancel Mayfair 2026.
Forecasts now consistently call for rain throughout the day, sustained wind and gusts reaching 25–30 mph, and unseasonably cold temperatures. Given the size and complexity of the event - including vendor tents, amusement rides, staging, electrical infrastructure, and large crowds - these conditions present significant safety concerns.
We know how disappointing this is. We know vendors have packed trailers, volunteers planned their day, musicians prepared to perform, and families had this tradition marked on their calendars. We share that disappointment deeply; however, safety must remain our top priority.
Direct communication will be sent today to vendors, performers, volunteers, car show participants, and others regarding next steps and event-specific information.
Thank you to everyone who contributes to making Mayfair such an important Collingswood tradition each year.
With love for this community,
