On 05/22/2026, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Janesville Police were dispatched to Riverside Park, near the baseball diamonds and splash pad, for an armed subject complaint. Two victims were inside of their vehicle when an unknown man came up and opened the door. The suspect then produced a knife and began making obscene demands.
One of the victims was able to shove the man away from the car. The suspect then used the knife to puncture the tires on the victim’s vehicle. The man was last seen walking towards the northwest, towards the kid’s sand pit play area.
The suspect was described as a white male, in his 30s, approximately 5’08, scraggly beard, and rotting teeth. He was wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie that had writing similar to “Frank”, red gloves, and a black baseball hat.
