In preparation for the 2026 Hawthorne Memorial Day Parade, the Hawthorne Police Department will be posting temporary “No Parking” signs on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
Please note: These signs will not be enforced until Monday, May 25, 2026, at 8:00 AM, to allow for DPW street sweeping and safe parade staging.
Signs will be posted in the following areas:

• Fourth Ave between Utter and Rea (Both Sides)
• Lafayette Ave in front of 648 and 652
• Rea Ave from Goffle to Fourth (Both Sides)
• Lafayette Ave from Utter to Vreeland (Both Sides)
• Vreeland Ave from Lafayette to Parmelee (Both Sides)
• Parmelee Ave from Vreeland to Diamond Bridge (Both Sides)
• Diamond Bridge Ave from May to Lafayette (Both Sides)
• Diamond Bridge Ave in front of 88 & 90
• May Street between Diamond Bridge and Cedar Ave (Both Sides)
• Cedar Ave between May and Lafayette (Both Sides)
• Fifth Ave from Utter to Central (West Curb Line)
• Central Ave, south curb line from Park Ave extending 50' west
• Lafayette Ave from Diamond Bridge to Central (Both Sides)
• Royal Ave from Diamond Bridge to 100 ft. North (Both Sides)
• Royal Ave from Central Ave to Warburton Ave (West Side)

Note: Signs near Villa Rosa, Carlos, Bogie’s, Celtic Corner, and Walgreens on Royal Avenue will not be posted until Monday morning to avoid unnecessary disruption to weekend business activity.
