Special Weather Statement until 04:00PM Sunday 
An unseasonably strong storm system for this time of year will bring strong winds and gusts from Akutan to Sand Point and Nelson Lagoon to beginning overnight Sunday into early Monday morning. Expect winds to quickly increase after midnight with sustained southeasterly winds of 20 to 35 mph with gusts of 45 to 60 mph, becoming more southerly by Monday afternoon. Gusts to 70 mph are possible for Cold Bay Monday morning. Winds will likely peak by mid morning Monday morning before slowly diminishing through Monday night. As the storm moves east of the area Tuesday morning, winds will shift, becoming westerly with gusts of 35 to 45 mph likely through Wednesday before finally winding down.
