NYC Emergency Management advises New Yorkers to be aware of potential intermittent heavy rain today (5/24) and tomorrow morning (5/25).

Periods of heavy rain may cause flooding in the city, including highways, streets, basements, and underpasses. During periods of heavy rain that cause flooding, seek higher ground or, if in a basement, move to a higher floor. Do not enter flooded roadways or buildings. City agencies have taken action to clean catch basins and remove street litter in the event that heavier rain occurs.

Call 311 to report clogged catch basins, roadway flooding, or property damage.
