Due to the forecasted weather, tomorrow’s Memorial Day Parade and Remembrance Ceremony has been canceled.
We are disappointed that we are unable to continue this longstanding tradition of honoring and remembering the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for our freedom.
When the weather improves, residents are encouraged to walk through the downtown business district to view the Hometown Hero banners on display. Please also take a moment to visit the War Memorial on East Franklin Turnpike to reflect and read the names of those from our community who honorably served our nation.
We thank our veterans, active duty military members, first responders, Scouts, students, volunteers, community organizations, and all those who prepared for the event.
