INCIDENT: PC 245 -Assault with a Deadly Weapon

SUMMARY:
On Saturday, May 23, 2026, at about 10:39 p.m., deputies from Victorville responded to reports of shots fired in the 16800 block of Ukiah Street, in Victorville.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a large party taking place at the location. Deputies observed numerous indivduals, to include juveniles, fleeing the area on foot as law enforcement arrived. Deputies immediately secured the scene and initiated an investigation into the shooting.
Sheriff’s Aviation Division assisted with the incident and observed multiple juveniles running through the surrounding desert area following the shooting. Deputies attempted to contact and identify all individuals seen fleeing from the scene. Deputies conducted an extensive canvass of the neighborhood to identify witnesses and obtain video surveillance recordings related to the incident. Investigators located surveillance video and are actively reviewing the footage as part of the ongoing investigation.
During the investigation, no injured person was discovered. Additionally, deputies located multiple vehicles parked along the street that had sustained apparent gunfire damage. Investigators recovered several 9mm and .40 caliber fired cartridge casings from the scene.
Investigators believe two separate groups were engaged in a shootout with one another during the party. The investigation remains active, and investigators are currently pursuing multiple leads.
