On May 22, 2026, officers from the Simi Valley Police Department responded to the 2300 block of Royal Avenue regarding a family disturbance in progress. An adult female contacted the Police Department and reported that her brother was involved in an argument with their father and was attempting to obtain a firearm.
When officers arrived, they detained the suspect, identified as Francisco Chacon (DOB 06/12/1992), and conducted a protective sweep of the residence to ensure no additional threats were present.
During the sweep, officers observed drug paraphernalia and a loaded firearm magazine in Chacon’s bedroom. Detectives from the Simi Valley Police Department responded to the scene, obtained a search warrant, and conducted a search of the residence.
During the search, officers located a firearm, ammunition, a ballistic vest, and additional drug paraphernalia inside Chacon’s room.
Chacon was arrested for the following violations: felon in possession of a firearm, prohibited person in possession of ammunition, possession of a ballistic vest by a prohibited person, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Chacon was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail.
