* WHERE...Portions of piedmont and western North Carolina, including the following counties, in piedmont North Carolina, Alexander, Catawba and Cleveland. In western North Carolina, Burke, Caldwell, McDowell and Rutherford.

* WHEN...Until 1215 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 908 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
