Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on May 24, 2026, at approximately 0949 hours, Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a Fatal Hit & Run on M 152 and Pleasant St., Dowagiac, Silver Creek Township, Cass County, Michigan.
The investigation showed that a Timothy Johnson (24yrs old of Benton Harbor, MI) was walking on M 152, when an unknown vehicle struck his body. Johnson was pronounced deceased on scene from his injuries.
Assisting agencies were SMCAS Ambulance, Sister Lakes Fire Department.
