2026 City Wide Chip Seal Project - Rescheduled
Weather permitting, this year’s chip seal work will begin on Wednesday, May 27 and continue through Saturday, May 30. The proposed work schedule is as follows:
- Werner St — from Shettler Rd to dead end
- Buck St — from Shettler Rd to dead end
- Fink St — from Shettler Rd to dead end
- Taylor St — from Shettler Rd to dead end
- Shettler Rd — from Airline Hwy to US-31
- Airline Hwy — from Getty St to Norton Ave
- East Hile Rd — from Grand Haven Rd to US-31
- Porter Rd — from Henry St to Martin Rd
- Randall Rd — from Henry St to Martin Rd
Access for local traffic will be maintained throughout the project, although there may be brief periods when driveways are temporarily blocked by equipment. Residents traveling through these areas should expect short-term lane restrictions, loose gravel on the roadway for several days, and reduced travel speeds until the surface fully settles.
