SUBJECT: Fatal Hit & Run Collision
LOCATION: Middlefield Road & Beech Street, Redwood City
DATE/TIME: May 24, 2026 Approximately 9:45 PM
On May 24, 2026, Redwood City Police officers were dispatched to the area of Middlefield Road and Beech Street regarding a report of a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision. Upon arrival, officers located a 72-year-old female pedestrian near the intersection. The pedestrian was transported by AMR to a local hospital emergency room, where she was later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the collision fled the scene. The vehicle was described as a white truck.
