The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the DC Department of General Services (DGS) would like to inform the community that the Riggs LaSalle Athletic Field (501 Riggs Road, NE) will close to the public starting Monday, June 1, 2026. The field is expected to reopen by late summer.
The scope of this project includes the replacement of the multi‑purpose synthetic turf athletic field and the addition of a new synthetic turf walking path around the perimeter of the site.
