The Grosse Pointe Farms Department of Public Safety is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a subject involved in a home invasion incident that occurred during the overnight hours of May 25–26, 2026.
The individual entered a residence, near Grosse Pointe Blvd & Hendrie Lane, through an unlocked front door and was later discovered inside the home by the resident. Surveillance footage showed the subject on the property between approximately 11:00 PM and 5:00 AM.
Suspect description:
• Heavy-set black male, approximately 20–30 years old
• Shoulder-length black dreadlocks
• Black baseball cap with a white “P” on the front
• Green t-shirt
• Black shorts with a white stripe
• White shoes
At this time, no vehicle information is available.
This incident serves as an important reminder to secure doors, windows, and access gates, especially overnight.
