The Janesville Police Department announces the hiring of two police officers, who began their service on May 26th. The two officers were sworn in during a ceremony on May 27th.
Officer Joseph B. Neilson is from Hoffman Estates, IL. He graduated from William Fremd High School and most recently graduated with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Beloit College. Ofc. Neilson will be attending the Fox Valley Technical College Police Academy in June 2026.
Officer Jaicy C. Campbell is from Janesville, WI and graduated from Parker High School. He recently graduated with an undergraduate degree from UW-Oshkosh in Criminal Justice where he was also a Community Service Officer for the Grand Chute Police Department. Ofc. Campbell will be attending the Fox Valley Technical College Police Academy in June 2026.
