Parents, as we gear up for summer, please remind children that staff review the camera footage from the parks every week. Each summer staff deal with vandalism and/or problems in the parks, that typically occur after dark. Being a small community, people are identifiable and contact is made to parents with resulting community service or elevated consequences with the Linn County Sherriff depending on severity.

Per city ordinance, all public parks are closed from 10:00pm - 6:00am. There should not be children in the park all hours of the night and early morning. The sheriff has been instructed to monitor the parks after hours to avoid issues we have had in previous years. Thank you for your assistance!
