June 1 through June 5, 2026, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily, Pont Dume Beach access on Westward Beach Road beyond the pay gate at Birdview Avenue will be temporarily closed to vehicle traffic due to scheduled construction work.
Los Angeles County Public Works will install a new storm drain and repair roadway damage to help maintain safe and reliable coastal access.
What to Expect
- No vehicle access beyond the swing gate off Birdview Avenue
- The beach parking lot will be closed during construction hours
- No pedestrian access through the roadway construction area
- Beach access may be available along the shoreline at low tide only
