INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Choiceana Avenue / Live Oak Street, Hesperia
DECEDENT (1): 47-year-old male, Resident of Hesperia
MOTORCYCLE PASSENGER (2): 44-year-old female, Resident of Hesperia
SUMMARY: On Thursday, May 28, 2026, at about 1:24 p.m., deputies responded to a traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle at the intersection of Choiceana Avenue and Live Oak Street.
Preliminary investigation indicates a motorcycle traveling northbound on Choiceana Avenue collided with a vehicle within the intersection. The rider and passenger of the motorcycle sustained major injuries and were transported to local hospitals for medical treatment. Despite life-saving efforts, the male rider later succumbed to his injuries sustained in the collision.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
