On May 29, 2026, at approximately 6:40 a.m., officers were dispatched to a bicycle accident in the parking lot of Horace Mann Middle School. Upon arrival, officers located a 51-year-old Sheboygan man deceased as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.
In light of the incident, the Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) made the decision to close Horace Mann Middle School for the day and thanked families for their understanding and flexibility during this difficult time.
