The Town of Forest City has reported a major water main break on Big Springs Avenue. Water service may be interrupted or water pressure may be low in parts of Rutherford County while repairs are made. Areas that may be affected include:
Bostic
Cherry Mountain
Ellenboro (Concord Water customers)
Nearby surrounding areas
The damaged water line must be shut down during repairs. Crews are working to restore service as quickly as possible. Repairs are expected to take about 6 hours. Big Springs Avenue is closed between Flack Road and Big Springs Avenue near the repair area. Residents are encouraged to conserve water and prepare for possible service interruptions.
