Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on 05/30/2026 at approximately 1248 hours, his deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Dailey Rd and Beeson St., LaGrange Township, Cass County Michigan.
 
The investigation showed that a vehicle driven by Cody Cox (25 years old from Dowagiac, MI) was eastbound on Beeson St. when he disregarded the stop sign, hitting a northbound vehicle driven by William Murphy (53 years old from Pierceton, IN).

Murphy's passenger, Theresa Richreek (63 years old from Pierceton, IN), was transported by SMCAS EMS to Lakeland Niles Hospital. 
 
Assisting agencies on scene were Pokagon Tribal Police, SMCAS EMS, Cass Central Fire Department, and Pokagon Fire Department.  
 
The crash remains under investigation.
