Wilmington Police arrest man in connection to a May 21st shots fired incident:
Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to a May 21st shots fired incident following an investigation.
Members of the Gun Intelligence Unit have been conducting a firearm investigation in reference to shots fired incident that occurred on May 21st in the 300 block of North Franklin Street. Detectives identified 23-year-old Ta’seer Tillman as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
On May 27th, officers located Tillman in the 1600 block of Wilmington Road and took him into custody without incident. Officers recovered a loaded 38 special revolver. Subsequently, officers executed a search warrant in the 1600 block of Wilmington Road and recovered 4 grams of crack cocaine.
Tillman has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited- 4 Counts
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
- Reckless Endangering (First Degree)- 5 Counts
- Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 Damage Property
