There is currently a power outage affecting portions of the southern section of Monroe Township. As a result, the traffic signal at the intersection of Perrineville Road and Federal Road is not functioning properly.
Motorists are advised to use extreme caution when traveling through the area and treat the intersection as a four-way stop if the traffic signal is completely inoperative. (Temporary traffic control signage has been placed).
According to JCP&L, approximately 675 residences in Monroe Township are affected by this outage. Utility crews are on scene and actively working to restore power as quickly as possible.
