Minor Arrested for Possession of a Stolen Firearm 
17yr old arrested for carrying a stolen concealed firearm on his person during a traffic stop.
SAN MATEO, Calif. —At 3:47am on Sunday, May 31, 2026, San Mateo PD conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of 3rd Ave. and S. Norfolk St. A loaded firearm was found in possession of the minor driver of the car. Further investigation determined the gun had been reported stolen out of Contra Costa County. The driver was arrested and transported to Hillcrest Juvenile Hall, where he was booked on the below charges.
