| The Camarillo Police Department will be hosting an E-bike and E-moto informational Coffee with a Cop event. Coffee with a Cop brings deputies and community members together, over coffee, to discuss issues and learn more about resources, services and needs of the community. This month’s Coffee with a Cop will be held on Saturday, 6/13/2026, from 9:00 am-12:00 pm at the Starbucks in Vons, located at 940 Arneill Road in Camarillo. This event will focus on E-bikes and E-motos. During the event, parents and community members can learn more about E-bikes and E-motos from various community partners and deputies in the Traffic Unit. Current classifications of E-bikes and current laws will be discussed. Parents are encouraged to bring their child’s e-bike for a safety and current legality check. We’re here to help you understand the rules, look over the bike with you, and point out any changes it may need. This is a guidance-only event, not an enforcement event. In addition to being able to bring your bike for review, staff from Ventura Cycling and Newbury Park Bike Shop will have E-bikes on display and answer questions regarding different E-bikes and bikes. An illegal E-moto will also be displayed. This will allow the public to better understand the differences of E-bikes and E-motos. The goal of the Camarillo Police Department’s public education and enforcement actions is not to discourage the lawful use of E-bikes, E-scooters or bicycles, but instead to reduce collisions and injuries and increase safety on our roadways for all, especially for our youth. Representatives from various community partners and agencies will be joining us at this event to provide additional information to the public regarding E-bikes and E-motos. Some of the partners include; Supervisor Jeff Gorrell’s Office, Ventura County Transportation Committee, Saint John’s Camarillo Hospital, and Ventura County Fire. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and Camarillo Police Department have benefited from strong partnerships with the communities we serve. The Camarillo Police Department would like to thank Vons for hosting us for this event. We appreciate your partnership! Look for us in front of Vons, as well at the Starbucks Kiosk. Building relationships – one cup at a time.
