Morgan Hill Police Investigate Major Injury Traffic Collision
Morgan Hill, California – On June 1, 2026, at approximately 6:25 p.m., Morgan Hill Police Officers responded to the intersection of Monterey Road/ East Middle Ave. following reports of a traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle. The crash also ignited a small, nearby grass fire.
Upon arrival, officers located the motorcycle rider suffering from severe injuries. Officers and emergency medical personnel immediately administered life-saving measures before rider was transported to a local trauma center, where he remains in critical condition. The Morgan Hill Fire Department quickly extinguished the grass fire.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Morgan Hill Police Department, and it is currently unknown if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.
The Morgan Hill Police Department reminds all motorists to remain alert, obey traffic laws, and exercise extra caution when traveling through intersections or changing lanes. Drivers are encouraged to be vigilant and watch for motorcyclists sharing the roadway.
