Join the Newark Police Department for our FREE 4-day Summer Youth Police Academy, open to youth ages 14-19!

• Dates: Monday, June 22 – Thursday, June 25, 2026
• Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM daily
• Location: Newark Police Department - 37077 Newark Blvd. Newark, CA 94560

Participants will get a hands-on look into the world of law enforcement through interactive activities, demonstrations, and presentations from Newark Police personnel.

Topics may include:

• Patrol Operations
• Dispatch/Communications
• K9 Demonstrations
• SWAT & Specialized Units
• Crime Scene Investigation
• Traffic Safety
• Gang & Drug Awareness
• Internet Safety & More!

Space is limited!

Applicants must successfully pass a background check to be considered for participation. 

Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
