SVRABQ The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... East Central Quay County in east central New Mexico...

* Until 630 PM MDT.

* At 539 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles southeast of San Jon, or 31 miles east of Tucumcari, moving north at 10 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... San Jon and Bard. This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 357 and 373.

* AFFECTED AREAS: QUAY, NM

Instructions:

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large hail. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
